Specificity and Comments:
Recognizes an oncofetal antigen of >1,000kDa, identified as atumor-associated glycoprotein (TAG-72) with properties of a mucin.Majority of human adenocarcinomas including colorectal, pancreatic,gastric, ovarian, endometrial, mammary, and non-small cell lungcancer display some cell populations that are positive for TAG-72staining. Weak or no reactivity has been observed with most celltypes of normal adult tissue excepting the secretory endometrium.About 60% of carcinoma patients express TAG-72 in their sera. It isreportedly useful in distinguishing pulmonary adenocarcinomas(TAG-72+) from pleural mesotheliomas (TAG-72-).
Species Reactivity: Human, Cow, Dog, and Rat. Others-not known.

Ig Isotype: IgG1 + IgG1
Immunogen: Membrane-enriched fraction of a human breast carcinoma livermetastasis (B72.3) and purified TAG-72 protein(CC49).
Hybridoma: Produced by fusion between BALB/c splenocytes and myelomap3-NS-1/Ag4-1 cells.
Supplied As: 200 ug/ml of antibody purified from ascites fluid by Protein Gchromatography. Prepared in 10mM PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.2% BSA and15mM sodium azide.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:
Immunohistology (Frozen & formalin/paraffin) (Use Ab at1:50-1:100 for 60 min at RT)
* (Staining of formalin/paraffin tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.)
The optimal dilution for a specific application should bedetermined by the investigator.
Positive Control: LS174T, HT29 cells. Breast or lung carcinoma
Cellular Localization: Cell surface and cytoplasmic.
Storage and Stability: Store vial at 4℃
Important Note: Everytime before you open the vial, werecommend briefly centrifuging the vial on a tabletop centrifuge todislodge any liquid in the container's cap because small volumes ofantibody will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of theproduct vial during shipment and storage.
